Module 4: CORC Stages: Review
Review
This training provides information on CORC Stages, primarily Stages 1 through 3, as these are the Stages
that Hospital Users see while using the CORC System.
In this Lesson, we addressed the following:
-
Hospital users see a total of THREE Stages in CORC.
-
In Stage 1, Data Mode for CABG Data submissions can be either Test or Official.
-
In Stage 2, Data Mode for CABG Data submissions are ONLY Adjustments.
-
In Stage 3, Data Mode for CABG Data submissions can be either Test or Make it Final.
-
In all three Stages, Data Source for CABG Data submissions can be from either an Electronic Data File
or from Online Entered Records and/or Corrections.
-
CABG Data submissions done as Test can be done an unlimited number of times, but submissions done as
Official (Stage 1), Adjustments (Stage 2), or Make it Final (Stage 3) can only be done ONCE.
-
When submitting CABG Data as 'Make it Final', the user is informed that this means it is the LAST
time that they may submit data for this Report Period and NO OTHER changes by the hospital will be allowed. To note that
the hospital understands this, the user must press the FINALIZE button in order to continue and submit their data to CCORP.
-
CORC has a Stage 4 and 5 but they are used by HCAI to A) Track Surgeon Certifications, and B) Make adjustments
to hospital data based on audit findings.
